Job summary
Hospice of the West is seeking a Full Time Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our compassionate team, providing hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. Working closely with our nursing team, you’ll ensure each patient’s physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm; Coverage Area: Scottsdale and Cave Creek.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Holds current unencumbered CNA certificate in the state.
- Minimum one year of CNA experience in an acute or long-term care setting; hospice experience a plus.
- Possess and maintains CPR certification if state-mandated.
- Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care following the plan of care to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, dressing, and grooming.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service and empathy in interactions with patients and families.
- Provide support to families with guidance and education related to home care and end-of-life needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with agency and regulatory standards.
