Job summary

St. Croix Hospice is seeking a Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our interdisciplinary team, delivering compassionate, hands-on care to patients in their homes.

You will work under a Registered Nurse to support personal care and daily living activities, aiming for comfort and dignity at end of life. This role emphasizes meaningful 1:1 care, with responsibilities including vital signs, documentation, and coordination with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of practice.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance.
• Provide personal care including bathing, skin/nail care, oral hygiene, dressing/undressing.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and report observations to the care team.
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed.
• Promote patient comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Travel to patient homes throughout the day and provide care as scheduled.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.

Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you’ll support patients with personal care and daily living activities, helping ensure comfort, dignity, and the highest possible quality of life at the end of life.

Hospice Aide (CNA) Requirements & Responsibilities

• Current CNA certification in the state of practice
