Job summary

St. Joseph Hospice in Vicksburg, MS is hiring a Full-Time Hospice Aide CNA. You will provide personal care and homemaking assistance while collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team to support patient well-being.

Applicants must be 18+, have a HS diploma or equiv., complete a certification program or pass a skills test, have 6 months of direct care experience, a current CPR card, and reliable transportation with a valid license and auto insurance. ESOP benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years old.
• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Complete formal certification program or a written skills test and competency evaluation.
• Minimum of six months’ work experience in a direct care setting.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Have dependable transportation, current driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with personal care and homemaking assistance in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Serve as an active member of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Communicate and follow up with supervisors and coworkers regarding patient needs, care, and concerns.
• Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and facility staff.
• Mileage reimbursement is provided.
