Liberty Healthcare Management is seeking a part-time Hospice Aide (CNA) to join Liberty Hospice in the Durham, NC area. The role provides direct hospice patient care and requires documentation of care and compliance with nursing standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, Board of Nursing approved training with competency evaluation, and at least 1 year of patient care experience, plus CPR certification and ongoing continuing education hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Board of Nursing approved training and competency evaluation program.
• Division of Facility Services Registry listing.
• At least 1 year of patient care and record-keeping experience in an acute care or custodial setting.
• At least 75 certified education hours.
• Ability to independently organize work and document care thoroughly and timely.
• Willingness to travel as assigned.
• CPR certification and effective communication skills.
• Minimum 12 hours of continuing education annually.

Job Description

• Provide direct patient care of hospice services.
• Provide appropriate documentation as required.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency, successful completion of a Board of Nursing approved training and competency evaluation program, current listing with the Division of Facility Services Registry, and one year of patient care and record keeping experience in an acute care or custodial setting.
• Documented proof at least 75 certified education hours.
• Ability to independently organize work and provide effective health care services to homebound patients through appropriate patient care, and document said care thoroughly, accurately, and completely on a timely basis.
• Accept travel and working conditions as assigned.
• Working knowledge of the principles of safe and appropriate personal care and practice of company policies and procedures, to include effective communication skills (oral and written) and CPR certification.
• Minimum of 12 hours of continuing education annually.
