Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Home Health Aide (HHA) in Great Bend, KS to help seniors live safely at home with personalized, one-on-one care. You’ll assist with activities of daily living, meals, companionship and transportation to support independence.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, active HHA registration in Kansas, CPR certification, a valid KS driver’s license and transportation.

Qualifications

• Active Home Health Aide (HHA) registration in Kansas
• CPR certification
• Valid KS driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors living at home
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, light housekeeping)
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition
• Ensure a safe home environment and assist with activities that bring clients joy

As a Home Health Aide, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Home Health Aides:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Health Aide (HHA) registration in Kansas
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification
• Valid KS driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
