Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. seeks a Home Health Aide (HHA) in Great Bend, KS to provide essential in-home care for seniors, supporting daily living activities and safety. You’ll be a compassionate, reliable presence delivering personal care and companionship.

Responsibilities include ADLs, mobility assistance, medication reminders, and documenting patient status for supervisors. We offer 1:1 care ratios, flexible schedules, online training with CEUs, and tuition discounts through Rasmussen

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience in a healthcare role preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid KS driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal prep, and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transfers and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition for supervisor.
• Maintain a safe home environment and support client happiness through activities.

As a Home Health Aide, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Home Health Aides:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Health Aide (HHA) registration in Kansas
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification
• Valid KS driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
