Care Initiatives Hospice - Muscatine, 2506 Park Avenue, Muscatine, IA, invites compassionate caregivers to join as Hospice Aide. You will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care at home or in care settings, meeting patients and families where they feel most comfortable.

Key responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, offering emotional support and companionship, communicating with the care team, coordinating activities, and following infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Hospice Aide, Home Health Aide, and/or Certified Nursing Assistant within the previous 24 months is preferred.
• Active CPR certification is required.
• Current driver's license and automobile liability insurance with ability to travel between multiple locations within the region.
• Ability to obtain Hospice Nursing Assistant Certification (through CHPN) within 24 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Deliver emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive environment.
• Interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities.
