Job summary

Care Initiatives Hospice is seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide to provide compassionate care to patients in their final stages. You will meet patients and families where they are, delivering physical, emotional, and spiritual support in home, long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings.

Join us to work with a collaborative team, uphold infection control, and help patients live their final phase with dignity and respect. Travel between multiple locations in your region may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Hospice Aide/Home Health Aide/CNA in the previous 24 months preferred.
• Hospice or palliative care experience preferred.
• Active CPR certification required.
• Current driver\'s license and ability to travel between multiple locations within your region.
• Ability to obtain Hospice Nursing Assistant Certification (CHPN) within 24 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Deliver emotional support and provide companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for safety.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities

• Ability to obtain Hospice Nursing Assistant Certification (through CHPN) within 24 months of employment.
