Job summary

Interim HealthCare is hiring a Home Health Aide in Great Bend, KS. The role supports seniors with daily living activities and at-home care, delivering compassionate, in-home assistance to help clients stay independent and safe.

Position emphasizes 1:1 client care, flexible scheduling, and ongoing training including CEUs and tuition discounts through Rasmussen University.

Qualifications

• Six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• Valid KS driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• CPR certification required.
• Active Home Health Aide registration in Kansas.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to live safely at home.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, light housekeeping and companionship.
• Aid with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client status for supervisors.
• Maintain a safe home environment and engage clients in activities.

As a Home Health Aide, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Home Health Aides:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Health Aide (HHA) registration in Kansas
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification
• Valid KS driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
