Job summary

Residential Home Health and Residential Hospice in Lisle, IL is seeking an After Hours Registered Nurse (RN) to provide end-of-life care to patients in their homes. This role offers autonomy within an interdisciplinary team and meaningful patient relationships at a trusted national provider.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state you work.
• Two years of RN experience; hospice experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel ~20% of the day.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice setting with an interdisciplinary team.
• Respond to after-hours needs with urgent assessments, symptom and pain management, and end-of-life support.
• Support patients and families during evenings, nights, weekends, and crises, ensuring informed and cared-for experiences.
• Coordinate care using clinical judgment and maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Work independently, but operate within a supportive team and travel to patient homes.

We are hiring an After Hours Registered Nurse (RN)for aHospiceposition providing end-of-life care to patients in their homes in the Lisle, IL. and surrounding area. This position is eligible for a $ 10,000 first year success bonus to reward the accomplishment of key milestones during your first year!

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM (midnight).

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to comfort, dignity, and quality of life


• Respond to after-hours and on-call patient needs by performing urgent assessments, managing symptoms and pain, and providing compassionate end-of-life support in real time


• Support and guide patients and families during evenings, nights, weekends, and crisis situations, ensuring they feel informed, reassured, and cared for throughout the hospice journey


• Apply strong clinical judgment and critical thinking to coordinate care needs, respond to changing patient conditions, and maintain accurate, timely, and compliant EMR documentation


• Work independently, but never alone


• Travel to patient homes within assigned territory

After Hours RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse, RN license in the state you work


• Two years of RN experience and the clinical expertise to deliver quality patient care, Hospice experience preferred


• Current driver’s license and ability to spend ~20% of your day driving to/from patient locations
