Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking a full-time hourly Admissions Specialist in Murray, UT. The role supports hospice care coordination, referrals, and liaison activities with insurers and hospital staff, ensuring regulatory compliance and patient access to services.

Shift is day, Tuesday through Saturday, 8am–5pm, with benefits as described. Requires hospice and admissions experience and 18+ years old; PR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have one (1) year hospice experience.
• Must have two (2) years of admissions experience.
• Must be 18 years old.
• PR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote quality care and customer service within the home care team.
• Triage incoming calls from patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Coordinate referral processes and liaison with hospitals, private and HMO or federally funded insurers.
• Verify MD licensure and ensure ED is informed of day-to-day activities and insurance issues.
• Coordinate OASIS transmission to meet regulatory guidelines.
• Assist with new hire orientation and participate in IDT as needed.
