Job summary

Genie Matthews and Associates is seeking a Hospice Admissions RN in the Kansas City Metro, MO (east). This full-time role coordinates new patient admissions, conducts comprehensive assessments, and educates patients and families while partnering with the care team to ensure a smooth transition into hospice services.

The role requires MO RN licensure, CPR, a valid driver's license, and hospice experience. Strong decision making, independence, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license valid for practice in Missouri.
• Current driver's license is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Two years of RN experience in a clinical setting.
• One year of full-time hospice experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation and auto liability insurance required.
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of new patient admissions.
• Collaborate with patient care teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families regarding conditions, needs, and care.
• Perform head-to-toe physical assessments.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
