Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking an Admissions Nurse in Redding, CA, to establish relationships with customers and referral sources and to grow access to hospice services in the community. The role operates Monday–Friday, Day shift, with an hourly pay range of $48.00–$51.00.

The RN will handle admissions, coordinate with ED/DPCS, provide education, and ensure smooth referrals and patient assessments, while upholding Bristol Hospice’s compassionate care standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a current RN license in the state.
• Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience in the last three years or a BSN from an NLN-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Relate information to DPCS/ED and Community Education Director to promote hospice access.
• Ensure ongoing educational needs of the community related to hospice care are met.
• Establish and monitor community, patient, payer perceptions of Bristol Hospice as a high-quality provider.
• Facilitate communication with agency and referral sources to promote care continuum.
• Complete hospice consults/evaluations and admissions.
• Coordinate with ED and DPCS on planning and education programs.
• May participate in QAPI and act as RN Case Manager as assigned.
