Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Admission Registered Nurse to provide compassionate home- and facility-based patient care in Michigan. You’ll assess eligibility, explain hospice services, and coordinate with the care team to address initial patient needs and plans for care.

The role emphasizes a patient-centered approach with family involvement, ongoing learning, and a supportive team culture that values work-life balance.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state you work.
• Two years of experience as a registered nurse, hospice experience preferred.
• Current CPR and BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Enable patients to spend quality time with their loved ones and activities they enjoy.
• Assess patients for hospice eligibility and explain hospice care services to patients, families/caregivers.
• Collaborate with the Inter-Disciplinary Team regarding initial plan of care and patient condition.

How you’ll make an impact as a Hospice Admission Registered Nurse / RN

• Enable patients to spend quality time with their loved ones and doing the activities they enjoy
• Assess patients for hospice eligibility and explain hospice care services to patients, families/caregivers
• Ensure all patient’s initial needs are addressed
• Collaborate with the Inter-Disciplinary Team members regarding initial plan of care, patient’s condition, and other essential information

Requirements

• RN license in the state you work
• Two years of experience as a registered nurse, hospice experience preferred
• Current driver’s license
• Current CPR and BCLS certification
