Job summary

Preferred Hospice of Missouri is seeking a Hospice Administrator for our Columbia, MO office. The role oversees all hospice activities, budgets, regulatory compliance, and community outreach, serving as a primary spokesman for the program.

The candidate should have healthcare management experience, a health-related degree, and preferably an RN or LPN license. Knowledge of EMR systems (WellSky HP) and QA/QI requirements is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience as a manager/administrator in hospice or healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing hospice operations.
• Familiarity with EMR systems (WellSky HP).
• Payroll/Accounts Payable experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, coordinate, and supervise all hospice activities.
• Assist in preparing yearly budget.
• Consult with physicians regarding hospice program.
• Coordinate and implement community awareness programs.
• Act as official hospice spokesman and representative.
• Cooperate with health and health-related agencies to improve services.
• Monitor compliance with regulations and hospice policy.
• Maintain visibility and availability to physicians, referral sources, patients, and staff.
• Oversee quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Perform nursing visits or assist staff as needed.
