Preferred Hospice of Missouri is seeking a Hospice Administrator for our Columbia, MO office. The role oversees all hospice activities, budgets, regulatory compliance, and community outreach, serving as a primary spokesman for the program.
The candidate should have healthcare management experience, a health-related degree, and preferably an RN or LPN license. Knowledge of EMR systems (WellSky HP) and QA/QI requirements is advantageous.
We are a well-established hospice company looking to add to our growing team!! Preferred Hospice has 5 offices in Missouri serving over 65 counties in the state. Those offices are in Columbia, St Louis, Ozark, Dexter, and Farmington.
We are currently looking for a Hospice Administrator for our Columbia, MO office.

The Hospice Administrator will:
Monitor, coordinate, and supervise all hospice activities.
Assist in preparing yearly budget.
Consult with physicians as indicated regarding hospice program.
Participate in coordination and implementation of an on-going community awareness program.
Act as official hospice spokesman and representative.
Cooperate with health and health-related agencies to increase and improve services to the community.
Monitor and ensure continuous compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, and hospice policy and procedures.
Maintain high visibility and availability while in office via telephone to physicians, referral sources, community resources, patients, and staff.
Oversee of and participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
Perform nursing visits or assistance to staff in the field as needed.
The successful candidate must have experience as a manager/administrator and have a degree in a health-related field. Prefer the candidate also be a licensed nurse (RN or LPN). Previous hospice experience a plus; must have or obtain knowledge of federal and state regulations and governing agency operations. Must live within a commutable distance to the office.
Other preferred qualifications:
Familiar with EMR (WellSky HP)
HOPE and CAHPS experience (QIES/iQIES)
Familiar with QAPI/QA/PIP requirements
Emergency Preparedness Requirements
Payroll/Accounts Payable experience.
