Job summary

Power Systems, a subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, seeks a Hose Assembly Technician to manufacture hose assemblies to spec and assist with hose modifications. You will verify conformance to customer specs and test criteria, operate hand and power tools, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

The role requires reading drawings and using calibrated equipment, with a background in hose assembly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of tools and assembly techniques.
• Preferred hose assembly experience.
• Ability to read drawings, prints, schematics and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture hose assemblies to required specifications.
• Handle shop associates that need hoses modified or new hoses.
• Visually verifies product compliance to customer and company specifications.
• Functionally verifies product performance to the defined test criteria.
• Utilizes hand and power tools, electronic and pneumatic testing fixtures and devices.
• Complete department work assignments in a timely manner.
• Shift work assignment priorities when needed and as directed.
• Responsible for organization of tools and workstation cleanliness.
• Understand and utilize proper tools and calibrated equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned.
