Job summary

City of Hutchinson is seeking a Horticulture & Forestry Maintenance Worker to perform a variety of manual tasks related to landscaping, grounds maintenance and tree care. Responsibilities

• Assist in removing dead, broken, misshapen branches using pruning techniques and safe tree removal practices.
• Operate forestry and horticulture equipment with care and follow ANSI/OSHA safety guidelines.
• Support tree planting, irrigation, fertilizing, weeding, mulching and pest control as needed.
• Perform landscape installation, soil cultivation and planting of trees, shrubs and grasses.
• Maintain landscape beds with weeding, mulching, watering and pruning.
