About the Position

Shadow Rock Elementary School is seeking a SPED Paraprofessional. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable and have a strong desire to help students learn. The primary responsibility is to implement, deliver, and promote high academic expectations for all students. Job Responsibilities

• Assist students with physical needs, including feeding, toileting, lifting, and mobility
• Assist students with healthcare procedures, including hygiene and medications, as needed
• Provide small group and/or individualized instruction based on lesson plans developed by teachers
• Monitor students before and after school and during transitional periods
• Support classroom management activities to promote a positive learning environment
• Assist with student performance assessments and recordkeeping
• Help develop and organize instructional materials for classroom use
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and passing the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment, required
• OR an associate degree or higher from an approved accredited college or university
• OR at least 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of college coursework with a GPA of 2.0 or higher from an approved accredited college or university

Certificates, Licenses, or Permits

• Must obtain a valid Professional Standards Commission-approved paraprofessional certificate
