Job summary

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is seeking a Hood Technician to inspect and lubricate vehicles quickly and thoroughly, keeping customers comfortable in their cars while work is performed. You will conduct multi-point inspections, check fluid levels, belts, hoses and tires, and communicate with the service advisor about any additional repairs needed.

This role requires attention to safety, the ability to work Saturdays and/or Sundays, and the capacity to maintain a clean, efficient work area

Qualifications

• Knowledge in automotive repair and maintenance desired but not required.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screen.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused attitude with ability to work well in a team environment.
• Willingness to work Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Complete work accurately and quickly allowing customers to remain in their vehicles
• Perform multi-point inspection
• Inspect vehicles for additional repairs needed
• Advise service consultant/tech for additional work
• Inspect fluid levels of power steering reservoir and transmission
• Inspect belts, hoses, and wiper blades
• Check air pressure of tires
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
