Southern Utah University in Cedar City is seeking an Honors Administrative Assistant / Advisor to support the Honors Program Director, advise students, and help recruit and retain honors students through meaningful relationship-building and proactive communication with the campus and community.
The role requires understanding of the Honors Program operations, student records audits, budgeting support, and collaboration with campus partners. Some evenings or weekends for events may be required.
The Honors Administrative Assistant / Advisor provides administrative assistance to the Honors Program Director and serves as an advisor to Honors students. The job requires a solid understanding of the Honors Program's operations and the Honors student population. This position serves a valuable role in recruitment and retention, and by developing meaningful relationships with students and aids in their desire for completion. Also serves as the main point of contact for the Honors Program, creates program communications through various channels, and may represent the program on campus, to prospective students, and the larger community.
