DB Insurance USA is seeking a Personal Lines Underwriter in Honolulu, HI. The role focuses on homeowners, dwelling fire, automobile, and umbrella lines, with responsibility for underwriting, risk assessment, and agency collaboration.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement after 90 days (3 days in office/2 days remote) and a salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 per year. A 8 am–5 pm schedule with Monday–Friday is anticipated, plus benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualificações

• No minimum experience required in underwriting Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, Automobile, and Umbrella.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with understanding of underwriting principles.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with agents and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Workspace and underwriting software.
• Professional designations such as CPCU or AU are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Personal Lines policies, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.
• Analyze risk data of prospective applicants to identify hazards and exposures for endorsements and renewals.
• Collaborate with underwriting team to enhance knowledge of insurance processes and procedures.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with assigned agencies to drive growth.
• Work with team to achieve monthly and annual branch goals.
• Assess applications to determine acceptance, modification, or decline per guidelines.
• Build agency relationships to foster growth and support business development.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to adjust underwriting strategies.
• Review data accuracy and prepare monthly closing reports for each product line.
