Job summary

DB Insurance USA is seeking a Personal Lines Underwriter in Honolulu, HI. This hybrid role starts with in-office work and transitions to a 3/2 in-office/remote schedule after 90 days, with a salary in the $60,000–$75,000 range.

You will underwrite homeowners, dwelling fire, automobile and umbrella lines, build agency relationships, and help meet branch goals. Requires 1+ year underwriting experience and a relevant degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of underwriting experience in Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, Automobile and Umbrella lines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with understanding of underwriting principles.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Personal Lines policies.
• Analyze risk data of applicants to identify hazards for endorsements and renewals.
• Collaborate with underwriting team to improve processes and knowledge.
• Develop and maintain agency relationships within the territory to grow business.
• Assist with monthly and annual branch goals and data accuracy in reports.
