Job summary

EA Engineering, Science and Technology, Inc., PBC seeks a Mid-Level Environmental Scientist, Chemist, Geologist, or Engineer in Honolulu, Hawaii. You will support environmental investigations, field studies, and compliance tasks across Hawaii and Pacific Islands, collaborating with experienced professionals on meaningful projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, with strong writing, project planning, and data reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geology, Engineering, or related field.
• Five (5) years of relevant experience, including Hawaii or Pacific Islands.
• Experience in environmental assessments or investigations of soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapor.
• Proficiency in proposal prep, project planning, and technical writing.
• Field data collection, QC inspections, and formal reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication across project staff.
• HAZWOPER certification (40-hour) current.
• Travel about 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support environmental assessments and investigations across media.
• Support construction and redevelopment projects with environmental oversight.
• Lead project planning, proposals, document control, and organization.
• Coordinate field efforts including sampling and investigations.
• Enter data, evaluate results, and prepare technical reports.
• Assist senior staff with work plans, proposals, and reports.
• Coordinate subcontractors and field teams.
• Mentor junior staff and support regulatory coordination.
• Support permitting and document QC inspections.
