Job summary

ERRG in Hawaii seeks an Environmental Field Engineer to perform data collection and oversight of environmental activities at a closed landfill site. You will work with senior technical staff to implement procedures that minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include supervising field work to meet safety and quality standards, preparing concise reports, planning and performing oversight assignments, and coordinating with subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 3+ years of related work experience.
• Proficient in MS Word Office Suite
• 40-hour HAZWOPER training and/or 8-hour HAZWOPER Refresher.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field work to ensure safety, quality, and BMPs are followed.
• Assist in preparing concise, well-written reports and project documents.
• Plan, prepare, and perform fieldwork oversight assignments.
• Communicate clearly with project technical staff.
• Provide field oversight to subcontractors.
• Record and maintain adequate documentation.
• Adhere to safety policies.
