EF Honolulu is seeking an experienced Director of Studies to lead the academic program and a small teaching team, ensuring high quality teaching and student experience. The role involves coaching, curriculum delivery, and collaboration with departments to create engaging learning experiences.

The ideal candidate will inspire others, foster continuous improvement, and drive academic excellence in an international education setting on island.

Qualifications

• Lead, manage, develop, and inspire a teaching team and Academic Coordinator.
• Coach, mentor, and motivate educators to high teaching standards.
• Recruitment, onboarding, and staff development experience.
• Relentless focus on customer service, student experience, and academic quality.
• Global and/or international work experience preferred.
• Ensure delivery of in-house curriculum with consistency and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small teaching team and Academic Coordinator.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing academic culture.
• Coach and mentor educators to achieve excellence in teaching.
• Oversee arrival and placement, academic testing, and student performance.
• Coordinate professional development and project-based learning initiatives.
• Manage academic staffing, class sizes, and budget considerations.
