EF San Diego is seeking an Assistant Director of Studies to lead day-to-day academic operations, support teachers, and ensure an exceptional student experience. You will work closely with the Director of Studies to oversee onboarding, observations, and professional development, while coordinating schedules and academic program changes.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to our teaching team
• Support teacher onboarding, training, observations, feedback, and professional development
• Coordinate teacher and student scheduling, substitutions, and academic program changes
• Support student placement, testing, level changes, academic progress, and attendance
• Serve as a key point of contact for students with academic questions or concerns
• Help maintain high standards of teaching and learning across the school
• Support teacher recruitment, staffing, and other academic operations
• Coordinate academic programs, resources, communications, and special initiatives
• Collaborate with other school teams to continuously improve the student experience
• Teach substitute classes when needed
