RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking an experienced Honing Technician / Precision ID Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Connecticut. The role involves setting up and operating manual honing equipment to create precision components with exact tolerances and superior surface finish.

You will read blueprints, select honing stones and fixtures, and work with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet stringent production goals while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

• Hone aluminum, steel, titanium, plastics, and specialty alloys.

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, dial bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Verify quality, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet production goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

They are recognized for producing high-quality precision components that consistently exceed customer expectations.

Compensation

Starting at $32.00+/hr (based on experience)

Position Summary

The Honing Technician will be responsible for setting up and operating manual honing equipment to manufacture precision components that meet exact dimensional tolerances and superior surface finish requirements. This position requires strong machining skills, attention to detail, and the ability to inspect parts using precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual honing machines
