Job Title: Honer

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: Mon-Friday 6:30AM-5:00PM

Pay Rate : $18.00

Experience Required: 1+ year machine shop experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Honer to join our team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient setup, operation, and monitoring of honing machines in accordance with production schedules, engineering specifications, and company quality standards. The ideal candidate will follow all safety regulations and maintain high performance and quality expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate honing machines based on customer specifications, blueprints, and production documentation
• Verify tooling and part specifications prior to production to ensure accuracy and quality
• Perform in-process inspections to maintain product quality standards
• Maintain production efficiency while meeting safety and quality expectations
• Follow all safety procedures, rules, and training requirements
• Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues immediately
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a machine shop or similar manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, work orders, and production instructions
• Basic math skills (fractions and decimals)
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods (up to 7.5-hour shifts)
• Familiarity with machine shop equipment (lathes, mills, drills, grinders)
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures
