Job summary

Solitude Mountain Resort is seeking a creative and passionate bartender to join the food and beverage team in Utah's Big Cottonwood Canyon. The role involves greeting guests, learning preferences, recommending menu items, and preparing classic cocktails and new beverages.

Responsibilities include taking orders via InfoGenesis, maintaining bar cleanliness, balancing cash, tracking BERG numbers, and assisting guests with resort information. Seasonal, part-time hours with industry perks.

• Must keep a clean and organized environment.
• Be reliable and punctual.
• Knowledge of bar equipment and mixing drinks preferred.
• Ability to work at a quick pace, multi-task, and recall information quickly.
• Sips n Tips Certification.
• Food Handlers Permit.

• Create a comfortable, friendly atmosphere and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar and manage inventory of beer, wine, liquor.
• Offer recommendations and build rapport with guests, including checking IDs when age is in doubt.
• Balance the bank at the end of each shift and track BERG numbers daily.

POSITION:

Solitude is seeking out a creative and passionate bartender to join our talented food and beverage team who is interested in working in Utah's charming and sublime Big Cottonwood Canyon. The bartender's responsibility is to execute excellent communication skills and to serve classic cocktails and exciting new beverages to our customers. The bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect and serve customers food and drink orders using the InfoGenesis system
• Create and maintain a comfortable, friendly atmosphere
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain a clean and organized bar
• Maintain beer, wine, and liquor inventory
• Offer recommendations or suggestions
• Verify IDs of any customer that appears under the age of 35
• Log and track BERG numbers daily (including spillage, "misclicks", etc.)
• Bar-track customer's bar tabs and the Berg system numbers daily
• Balance the bank at the end of each shift
• Assist guests with information about the resort and local area
• Build a good rapport with travelers, locals, and regular patrons
