Job summary

Pilot Assessments is seeking an experienced Captain to lead all phases of flight, from planning through post-flight, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and a superior cabin experience.

You will manage crew coordination, mentor First Officers, and maintain rigorous adherence to procedures while delivering high-level customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3,000 hours fixed-wing total time.
• 1,500 hours PIC; 500 hours turbine.
• Passport valid to operate internationally.
• ATP certificate (unrestricted or restricted).
• FAA First Class Medical.
• FCC Radio License.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, efficient ground and in-flight operations from preflight through postflight.
• Verify passenger identification prior to boarding; ensure secure, discreet handling at all times.
• Complete thorough preflight planning and checklists; manage fuel, performance, and weather considerations.

• Proactively communicate and coordinate with assigned crew, dispatch, maintenance, and administration.
• Deliver exceptional service—anticipate passenger needs and strive to exceed expectations.
• Train, mentor, and develop First Officers on assigned flights and aircraft.
• Execute additional duties as assigned by management or senior leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Complete thorough preflight planning and checklists; manage fuel, performance, and weather considerations.
• Comply with all FAA regulations, company General Operations Manual, Ops Specs, and procedures.

What You Bring

• Minimum 3,000 hours fixed‑wing total time; 1,500 hours PIC; 500 hours turbine.
• Valid, unexpired U.S. passport; able to operate internationally without restrictions.
• ATP Certificate (Unrestricted or Restricted), FCC Radio License, and current FAA First Class Medical.
• Clear, professional communication skills and strong CRM; thrive in a fast‑paced, growth environment.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, accept short‑notice assignments or cancellations, and spend multiple days away from home.
• Ability to sit in a small cockpit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Residence within approximately two hours of a major airport.

Preferred

• Corporate aviation or FAA Part 135 charter experience.
• Current type rating in the HondaJet HA‑420 or another aircraft in Thrive Aviation’s fleet.
• Demonstrated success mentoring First Officers and elevating customer experience.

Schedule & Operations

• Irregular hours; variable duty days with frequent overnights.
• Short‑notice trips and potential last‑minute changes or cancellations.
• Consistent coordination with dispatch, maintenance, and company leadership.
