Job summary

First Automotive Group is seeking a highly skilled Master/Main Line Technician to join our service department. The ideal candidate will diagnose and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, leading quality work and customer satisfaction in a dealership setting.

You will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diverse vehicle systems, conduct road tests, and document repairs accurately while collaborating with service advisors and management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of OEM dealership experience required.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with automotive diagnostic equipment and repair software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to document repairs electronically.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Professional attitude, integrity, and a strong desire to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs per manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues with advanced tools.
• Repair engines, transmissions, steering, brakes, HVAC, and related systems.
• Road test vehicles and perform quality inspections for safety and performance.
• Communicate findings and suggested repairs with Service Advisors.
• Provide accurate labor time estimates and repair needs.
• Complete warranty repairs per manufacturer requirements.
• Maintain detailed repair documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and keep a clean, organized workspace.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and customer service.
