Job summary

Everforth Apex in Allen Park, MI seeks an Emissions Testing Engineer to coordinate emissions testing programs from planning through execution in a fast-paced lab setting. You will manage schedules, test requests, and logistics while supporting vehicle certification and regulatory compliance, including EU7.

Work closely with Homologation Engineers, lab personnel, and engineering teams to ensure timely, high-quality data for global approvals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of automotive industry experience preferred.
  • General understanding of automotive regulations, certification, and compliance processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple testing activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in a laboratory environment.
  • Willingness to support early-morning testing activities when required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate emissions testing activities and maintain testing schedules.
  • Receive, prioritize, and assign test requests to support program objectives.
  • Manage testing logistics and ensure testing activities are executed according to plan.
  • Support vehicle certification and regulatory compliance efforts, including emerging regulations such as EU7.
  • Partner closely with Homologation Engineers to review test results and track follow-up activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during witness testing activities.
  • Interface directly with laboratory personnel, testing witnesses, and internal engineering teams.
  • Track testing progress and communicate status updates to key stakeholders.
  • Support test readiness activities, including limited hands-on responsibilities such as recording tire pressures and assisting with vehicle preparation.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools to document, organize, and communicate testing activities.
