Job summary

Riverdale YM-YWHA in Bronx is hiring a Homework Support Teacher to work with children in grades K-6 in the after-school program. You will supervise and assist with homework, provide individual attention, and help students develop study habits in a patient, structured environment.

The role runs Monday through Thursday from 3:30 to 6:00 PM, with pay at $30 per hour. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience with children; strong organization and communication

Principal Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Homework Support Teacher will work with children in grades K-6 enrolled in the Riverdale Y's after school program to ensure all homework is completed each day. This role requires patience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to support a wide range of learners with varying needs and abilities. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, structured, and supportive environment that helps children stay focused and build confidence in their academic skills.

The Homework Support Teacher will work Monday-Thursday from 3:30-6:00 PM. If all homework is completed before dismissal, the teacher may leave early. Pay rate is $30/hour.

Minimum Qualifications:
