Habitat for Humanity Tacoma/Pierce County is seeking a Homeownership Success Specialist to assist homebuyers through the entire homeownership process, ensuring accurate documentation and compliant steps toward closing. The role acts as a liaison with lenders, employers, and community partners to expand access to homeownership opportunities.

The position emphasizes strong data skills, mortgage or housing counseling experience, and the ability to manage client expectations while delivering

Qualifications

• Experience or familiarity with mortgage lending process or housing counseling/coaching.
• Ability to guide homebuyers through documentation and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational and data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with Pierce County employers to expand awareness of Habitat's homeownership opportunities and connect employees with educational workshops and resources.
• Guide qualified homebuyers through every stage of Habitat's homeownership program—from inquiry through closing.
• Provide education, financial coaching, document review, and ongoing support to help families achieve affordable homeownership.
• Maintain accurate client records and administrative systems supporting the program.
• Collaborate with lenders, community partners, and internal teams to ensure timely closings and program milestones.
