Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles is seeking a Financial Literacy Program Manager to co‑manage our Financial Literacy Program, including pre and post purchase education and one‑on‑one counseling in compliance with regulatory and funding requirements.

You will coordinate workshops, manage a caseload of aspiring homeowners, and report data using required systems, while collaborating with internal teams and community partners to recruit participants.

Qualifications

• Must pass drug test, background check, and driving record check.
• Must have CA Driver’s License and meet state-required automobile liability insurance.
• Reliable internet connection.
• Experience providing financial education, housing counseling, case management, or related client services.
• Knowledge of budgeting, credit management, debt reduction, savings strategies, and homeownership preparation.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with experience leading workshops or educational sessions.
• Ability to manage a client caseload and provide individualized guidance toward financial and homeownership goals.
• Experience maintaining accurate client records and entering data into required reporting or case-management systems.
• Understanding of regulatory, funding, confidentiality, and documentation requirements for financial education or housing programs.
• Ability to collaborate with internal departments and community partners to conduct outreach and recruit program participants.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• HUD Housing Counselor certification, or the ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe, preferred.
