  • Works as scheduled and communicates schedule changes promptly to agency and client.
  • Documents activities and client concerns during visits; submits paperwork accurately.
  • Represents agency professionally and adheres to policies; maintains confidentiality and safety at all times.

Circle of Care: Circle of Care Colorado is an In-Home Support Services (IHSS) agency assisting families in Colorado with providing a more comfortable, personal way to care for children with special needs within the comforts of home. Working with Circle of Care Colorado allows you the opportunity to select an attendant of your choice, or be your own child’s assigned IHSS caregiver. Homemaker Attendant Job Overview Duties and Responsibilities
Housekeeping
  • Performs light housekeeping duties sufficient to keep the client safe in the home, including making and changing the bed, cleaning the bathroom, and cleaning the kitchen area.
  • Performs the client's personal laundry as assigned by the plan of care.
  • Identifies and reports household safety hazards to the supervisor or manager.
Meal Preparation & Errands
  • Prepares and serves meals in accordance with the client's plan of care and any dietary needs.
  • Completes shopping and errands on behalf of the client as authorized by the plan of care.
Service Delivery & Scheduling
  • Provides services when scheduled and communicates promptly to the Agency and client regarding any schedule changes.
  • Accomplishes job responsibilities in a timely, safe, and professional manner.
  • Participates in client case conferences according to Agency policy and procedures.
Documentation & Communication
  • Documents activities performed in the client's home at the time of the visit.
  • Documents client concerns and difficulties and reports the same to the supervisor or manager.
  • Completes and submits all required paperwork accurately and on time.
Compliance & Professional Standards
  • Represents the Agency in a professional manner and dresses appropriately for job duties.
  • Maintains client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and Agency policy.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook, Employee Agreement, or as communicated by the executive team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Required Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and care instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, families, and Agency staff
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibilities
  • Ability to solve practical problems and improvise in an unstructured home setting
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, clients, and supervisors
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, reaching, and stooping
  • Possession of a valid Colorado Driver's License with applicable car insurance, or reliable transportation to all accepted assignments
  • Preferred High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Verifiable work experience providing homemaking or housekeeping services
  • Prior experience in a home health care or IHSS setting
  • Familiarity with Medicaid programs and IHSS services
