Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP) seeks a full-time physician to deliver high-quality primary care to individuals experiencing homelessness at outpatient sites and at the Barbara McInnis House Medical Respite program.

The physician will coordinate care with onsite staff, provide 32 hours per week of direct patient care, participate in collaborative education with trainees, and be available for on-call coverage while maintaining BHCHP guidelines and a compassionate,

Formación

• MD licensed to practice in Massachusetts; board eligible or certified in family medicine, internal medicine, or related specialty
• Life support certification (CPR/BLS/ACLS) from hands-on training
• Interest in working within multidisciplinary teams to provide primary care for homeless individuals
• Familiarity with addiction medicine and health care for the homeless programs is desirable
• Bilingual abilities encouraged; fluency in additional languages (Spanish, Haitian Creole) desired; DEA X-waiver is desirable

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate patient care with onsite clinical staff at host institutions; refer patients for specialty or hospital care; educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention
• Provide high-quality primary and episodic care; work 32 hours/week direct patient care; remaining hours for lab follow-up, QA, forms, and site flexibility
• Provide physician coverage to ensure 24-hour availability and on-call coverage; monitor lab results and ensure proper follow-up
• Collaborate with nurses, students, residents; participate in teaching and quality assurance activities
