First Day Homecare is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide skilled pediatric homecare for an infant client in Fenton, MI, with Monday/Wednesday shifts 8a-3p, Friday and Saturday 12p-8p, and occasional night shifts 8p-8a or 9p-8a.

You will administer care under physician orders, document changes, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and high-quality standards. This role requires CPR, a valid MI LPN license, and a driver’s license.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current LPN license in Michigan.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured as required.

Responsabilidades

• Provides professional nursing care as defined by the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Performs care per medical practitioner orders and client care plan.
• Maintains orders and documents changes in the medical record.
• Cares for clients including pediatric services such as tracheostomy care and ventilator management.
• Works with the client’s care team to coordinate services.
• Promotes safety for clients and coworkers.
• Performs duties in accordance with agency policies and standards.
• Participates in care coordination and agency meetings as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Schedule / Expected Work Hours

• Infant aged client needing a nurse on Mondays and Wednesdays (8a-3p), Friday and Saturdays (12p-8p) and Nights 8p-8a or 9p-8a (Fenton)

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an LPN in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements.
