Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide in-home school-based PT services for a single student in Pittsburgh, PA 15207. Sessions are 45 minutes weekly with mileage reimbursement, during the school year, prioritizing school hours or immediately after school.

The role involves evaluating, developing IEP goals, training staff on adaptive equipment, and collaborating with teachers and families to support the student's access to education. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapist License.
• Clearances: Child Abuse, State Police Criminal Background Check, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
• Experience working with pediatric students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct school-based PT evaluations to identify barriers to access to the school environment and curriculum.
• Develop measurable IEP goals and provide direct PT services focused on mobility, positioning, and participation in educational activities.
• Assess, fit, and train staff on adaptive equipment including wheelchairs, gait trainers, standers, and seating systems.
• Consult with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families regarding transfers, positioning, mobility, and classroom accommodations.
• Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, progress reports, and re-evaluations in compliance with IDEA and PA state regulations.

RCM Health Care is looking for a PHYSICAL THERAPIST (PT) to provide services to 1 student who resides in zip code 15207. Services will need to be in the home. We are looking for someone to start right away, providing 45 min sessions, 1 time per week during the school year. PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIATES WHO CAN SEE STUDENT DURING SCHOOL HOURS OR IMMEDIATELY AFTER SCHOOL.

Position Summary

As a Physical Therapist you will provide in-person PT services to 1 student in their home in West Chester, PA. You will provide specialized evaluations, direct therapy services, and consultation to support students with significant physical, neurological, and multiple disabilities. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary educational teams to develop and implement individualized services that promote student access to the educational environment and support participation in school-based activities. • Assess, fit, and train staff on adaptive equipment including wheelchairs, gait trainers, standers, and specialized seating systems.
• Consult with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families regarding safe transfers, positioning, mobility, and classroom accommodations.
• Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, progress reports, and re-evaluations in compliance with IDEA and Pennsylvania state regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Master's or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

Licenses & Certifications

• Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapist License.
• Current Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance.

Skills
