Qualifications

• RI certification in Special Education Severe Intellectual Disabilities required.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience working with students with disabilities across a range of educational and functional needs.
• Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and evidence-based instructional practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct special education instruction to students in homebound medical instruction.
• Implement IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with individual student needs.
• Collaborate with family, service providers, and administrators.
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and objectives.
• Maintain records of instructional sessions, attendance, and progress.
• Participate in IEP Team meetings and provide input on student needs.
