Job summary

Home2 Suites is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain hotel areas and assets, troubleshoot and repair equipment including HVAC and electrical systems, and perform preventative maintenance. You will inspect facilities, coordinate the maintenance staff, diagnose problems, and work within budget constraints.

Candidates should have 3+ years of maintenance or hotel engineering experience, strong communication skills, and a valid driver's license. Fluency in English is required for this role.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years maintenance or engineering experience, preferably in a hotel establishment.
• Previous hotel engineer experience preferred or comparable maintenance experience at another large facility.
• Basic ability reading prints, schematics and equipment operations instructions.
• Experience in maintenance or building trades preferred.
• Possess basic computer skills and be comfortable learning and using technology.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment and prioritize well.
• Display a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Independent thinker able to make decisions based on information from appropriate resources.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and proper insurance for business travel.
• Must be fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel areas and assets to an acceptable quality standard.
• Troubleshoot and repair hotel equipment, facilities and systems including HVAC and electrical.
• Perform preventative maintenance and regular inspections, coordinate maintenance staff.
• Diagnose potential problems and operate within the hotel budget.
• Develop and follow up action plans from technical visits and audits.
• Operate and maintain hotel mechanical systems such as domestic water, hot water, chilled water, and pool systems; experience with chillers and boilers preferred.
• Maintain parts inventory, log receipts and usage, and track manuals and service bulletins.
• Assist with building maintenance and work orders; replace ceiling tiles and bulbs as needed.
• Comply with purchasing procedures and assist other engineers; fill out daily paperwork.

Home2 Suites is looking for a Maintenance Technician that willmaintain the hotel areas and all hotel assets to an acceptable qualitystandard. We are looking for some to troubleshoot and repair hotelequipment, facilities and systems (including HVAC and electrical). Performpreventative maintenance, make regular inspections, coordinate the maintenancestaff, diagnose potential problems, and operate within the hotel budget.

Responsibilities

• Ensurecompliance with company policies Health & Safety, Food Hygiene andFire Safety.
• Developand follow up action plans and recommendations as highlighted duringRTM’s/TOMs technical visits and technical audits.
• Operateand maintain hotel mechanical systems such as domestic water system, hotwater systems, chilled water systems, pool systems. Must have chiller andboiler experience. Licensed preferred.
• Maintainsand organizes parts inventory by receiving and labeling ordered parts andfixtures, placing parts and fixtures on designated shelves, logging andaccounting for parts and fixtures received and used, analyzing logs todetermine frequency of use and need for replacement, and keeping track ofowners manuals, warranty expiration dates and service bulletins
• Assistwith building maintenance and completing work orders such as replacingceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, to maintain the hotel and keepthe product quality standard.
• Maintainsa safe work and storage area by cleaning and organizing designated storagearea, storing tools and materials, repairing or replacing old or brokentools and equipment following established procedures, and followingestablished safety standards while using tools and equipment.
• Tocomply fully with the hotel and brand purchasing procedures usingnominated suppliers.
• Assistother engineers with repairs.
• Fill outdaily paperwork.
• Any other duty as deemed suitable by the HotelGeneral Manager.
