Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician in hospitality or facilities management.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of the hotel’s facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces, to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including checking HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other equipment to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and repair issues reported by guests or staff, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general carpentry problems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality.
  • Assist with the installation and replacement of fixtures, fittings, and equipment as needed.
  • Ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed to high standards and in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols when performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and hotel policies.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
  • Assist with ordering and purchasing of supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including completed repairs, preventative maintenance, inventory usage, and any issues or concerns.
  • Provide regular reports to the General Manager or other designated personnel regarding maintenance status and needs.
  • Work closely with other hotel departments, including housekeeping and front desk, to coordinate maintenance activities and address any facility-related concerns.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.

Requirements
