Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist to conduct home visits for patients with respiratory conditions.

You will assess, treat, and manage patients’ respiratory care needs in a home setting, delivering personalized care that improves quality of life. Responsibilities include administering prescribed therapies, educating families, developing care plans, monitoring progress, documenting accurately, and collaborating with physicians.

Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license and certification (RRT or CRT)
• Experience in home healthcare or clinical respiratory therapy preferred
• Knowledge of respiratory diseases, treatments, and medical equipment
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patients' homes
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to assess and monitor patients with respiratory conditions.
• Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and therapies (e.g., oxygen therapy, nebulizers, CPAP/BiPAP).
• Educate patients and families about proper respiratory care and equipment usage.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide emergency respiratory care as necessary.
• Ensure patient safety and proper use of respiratory equipment.
