Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to perform home visits and manage respiratory care for patients in their homes. You will assess, treat, and monitor conditions, and work with physicians to create individualized care plans.

Responsibilities include administering therapies, educating families, and ensuring safety and proper equipment use. BLS is required; ACLS preferred. Candidates should be able to travel to patients' homes and demonstrate strong communication

Qualifications

• Valid RT license (RRT/CRT) required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in home healthcare or clinical respiratory therapy preferred.
• Ability to travel to patients' homes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of respiratory diseases and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to assess and monitor patients with respiratory conditions.
• Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and therapies (e.g., oxygen, nebulizers, CPAP/BiPAP).
• Educate patients and families about respiratory care and equipment usage.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with physicians and other providers.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide emergency respiratory care as necessary.
• Ensure patient safety and proper use of respiratory equipment.

• Educate patients and their families about proper respiratory care and equipment usage.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide emergency respiratory care as necessary.
• Ensure patient safety and proper use of respiratory equipment.

Requirements

• Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license and certification (RRT or CRT).
• Previous experience in home healthcare or clinical respiratory therapy is preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory diseases, treatments, and medical equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patients' homes.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends or evenings, as needed.
