Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist to conduct home visits for patients with respiratory conditions.

You will assess, treat and manage patients' respiratory care needs in a home setting, providing personalized care that can significantly improve quality of life. In this role you will administer oxygen therapy, nebulizers and CPAP/BiPAP as prescribed, educate patients and families, develop care plans with physicians, monitor progress, keep accurate records, and respond

Qualifications

• Must hold valid RT license (RRT or CRT) and BLS; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in home healthcare or clinical respiratory therapy is preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory diseases and equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to assess and monitor patients with respiratory conditions.
• Administer prescribed respiratory therapies (oxygen, nebulizers, CPAP/BiPAP).
• Educate patients and families on proper respiratory care and equipment use.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with physicians and providers.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Provide emergency respiratory care as necessary.

• Conduct home visits to assess and monitor patients with respiratory conditions.
• Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and therapies (e.g., oxygen therapy, nebulizers, CPAP/BiPAP).
• Educate patients and their families about proper respiratory care and equipment usage.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide emergency respiratory care as necessary.
• Ensure patient safety and proper use of respiratory equipment.

Requirements

• Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license and certification (RRT or CRT).
• Previous experience in home healthcare or clinical respiratory therapy is preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory diseases, treatments, and medical equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patients' homes.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends or evenings, as needed.
