Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to perform home visits and manage respiratory care for patients in their homes. The role emphasizes personalized patient care and improving quality of life.

Responsibilities include conducting visits, administering treatments such as oxygen and CPAP/BiPAP, educating families, and developing care plans in collaboration with physicians. Strong communication and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT).
• Experience in home healthcare or clinical respiratory therapy preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory diseases, treatments and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patients' homes.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends or evenings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to assess and monitor patients with respiratory conditions.
• Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and therapies (e.g., oxygen therapy, nebulizers, CPAP/BiPAP).
• Educate patients and families about proper respiratory care and equipment usage.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with physicians and other providers.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Provide emergency respiratory care as necessary and ensure patient safety and proper use of equipment.
