Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospital Education Service is seeking a Link Tutor to work across Gloucestershire, supporting students in Key Stages 3 and 4 with a strong pastoral focus. The role involves home visits, multi-agency collaboration and facilitating transitions back to mainstream education or other provisions.

You will join a dedicated team, coordinating with families, schools, NHS colleagues and social care professionals to secure positive outcomes while upholding safeguarding and inclusive

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young people with additional needs.
• Excellent safeguarding practice and ability to work with multi-agency teams.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students in Key Stages 3 and 4 through regular pastoral contact.
• Conduct home visits and liaise with parents, carers, schools and professionals.
• Facilitate planned transitions back to mainstream schools or post-16 destinations.
• Ensure student voice informs decisions and support wellbeing initiatives.
