Target Corp in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking an Associate Designer for Home to join the design team. The role supports Owned Brand Product Design and Development, translating ideas into CAD/hand sketches and developing trims, prints, and hardware.
You'll prepare product specs, work with Technical Design on fit and construction, and collaborate with merchants. A four-year design degree and CAD skills are required; on-site work four days a week.
Qualifications
- Four-year degree in Design, Fine Art, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in design or related field.
- Proficient with InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- CAD illustration or 2D/3D software experience.
- Ability to stay aware of Trends and Fashion.
- Understanding of textiles, garment construction/fit, or materials & production.
- Experience assimilating product feedback.
- Ability to research and apply market/trend information.
- Strong teamwork and partnership skills.
Responsabilités
- Support Owned Brand Product Design and Development under design leadership.
- Prepare product specs and develop trim, print, embellishment, and hardware packages.
- Translate concepts using CAD and hand sketches for presentations.
- Create design/technical sketches and boards for meetings and vendor partners.
- Collaborate with Technical Design to communicate fit and construction details.
