Job summary

Target is seeking an Associate Textile Designer to support Owned Brand Product Design and Development. You will work with design leaders to achieve product strategy, trend concepts, color, and development of materials.

The role emphasizes CAD/hand sketches, presenting boards for meetings, and coordinating with vendors and the Technical Design team. You will build partnerships, translate ideas into design concepts, and help ensure brand cohesion across Target-owned lines.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Design or related field.
• 1+ year of professional design experience.
• Proficiency with InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience with CAD illustration or 2D/3D software.
• Knowledge of textiles, garment construction or materials.
• Ability to translate ideas into CAD/ sketches and prepare presentation boards.

Responsibilities

• Support Owned Brand Product Design and Development with direction from design leaders.
• Maintain workload with a diligent and self-directed approach, ensuring timely communication with partners.
• Assist on product/trend research, color and development of products, and preparing product specs.
